The X11 interface to Xconq is a richly detailed full-color display.

Here is an example screen shot. It shows a standard game with four sides, with us as the Dutch. The Dutch have captured several towns nearby, and are proceeding to explore the rest of the world. However, it looks like trouble is finding them quickly, in the form of Danish aircraft and armor approaching the Dutch main city (named Amsterdam of course). This will be a hard-fought game...
