Is this the type of organization that is needed? <?xml version="1.0"> <xsl:stylesheet ...> <island> ... </island> <xsl:template match="/"> ... <xsl:value-of select="document('')/island"/> </xsl:template> </xsl:stylesheet> I would have thought the XSLT DTD/Schema (?) would not allow ANY arbirtary elements within <xsl:stylesheet>.
