No. Not at all, whoever told you it was......
Do you really need to process the nodes with a mode or are you just
trying to collect them, in the latter case drop th emode attribute, in
the former, go back to what you had and then use your processors
node-set() extension function to coerce the result tree fragment to a
node set, so that you can do
select="xx:node-set($NODES)//Product"
