nothing to do with xsl, but
<xsl:if test="checked='true'">
<xsl:attribute name="checked">true</xsl:attribute>
</xsl:if>
the values of the checked attribute are constrained to be "checked2 or
nothing. "true" would produce invalid HTML (or XHTML).
