you are missing an = after title
also you don't need the variables at all, you could just do
<card id="{cardid}" title="{cardtitle}">
<img src="<xsl:value-of select="imgsrc"/>" alt="<xsl:value-of
select="imgalt"/>"/>
That isn't well formed XML either: you can't have a < in an attribute
value. Use {} not xsl:value-of.
