I've used Glade a little tiny bit - it's open-source, and has multiple
interfaces. What about asking the developers the questions you have -
it may be already there, just not obvious. Or, an easy improvement.
Using a pre-existing, portable GUI builder sure sounds nice...

Good idea. So long as it isnt interpreted. gtk is available for windows
as well, though not for cygwin.
