- Subject: problems starting a new game
Hello!
I just compiled xconq on my computer. There were, as far as I could see,
no errors during this process, just some warnings about incompatible
pointer types (?)
Now xconq starts fine. I follow the instructions in the Quick start part
of the manual.
So I click "New Game", chose the introductory game and face the first
problem. There is no OK Button as refered to in the manual. So I click New
game again (the others do nothing I want to happen, I tried) and get my
first error message:
"ambiguous option "-pad": must be -column, -columnspan, -in, -ipadx,
-ipady, -padx, -pady, -row, -rowspan, or -sticky"
Huh?
The Details don't help either, so I click OK.
Next I get a Variants window, where no variants are listed.
Again New Game, now I get a warning, thet the module is already loaded. I
decide to go on.
Now there is a variants window again, this time with OK button :-)
But clicking it gives the same error message as above.
what follows is the player selection, but after clicking O.K I get the
error:
window name "listheadings" already exists in parent
after OK I'm back at player selection, so there is nothing I can do to get
further.
Is there anyone, who can help me?
The errors don't depend on the game I chose, its always the same.
My system is Suse Linux 8.0, kernel version 2.4.18
Tcl/tk 8.1.4 (just built)
xconq 7.4.1
I would be very happy and thankful if anyone could help!
Best regards, and thaks in advance
Michael Weber
