I think this is an excellent idea. In fact, it's quite similar to what we
already did with Civ II. There is a lot of user-made icons and scenarios
available for that game on the web, too. The "Lord of the Rings" module is
a ported Civ II scenario with icons and everything, and "Advances through
History" also has a lot of Civ II user-made icons.
So if you (or anybody else) wants to port a Panzer General scenario to
xconq, this should not be too difficult. Probably easier than these other
games, given the obvious similarites to some existing xconq modules, such
as "Panzer" and "Gazala Battles". Check out the image files heroes.gif and
monsters.gif and the lib files fantasy.imf and imf.dir for how to add a new
set of user-made icons to a game module.
