Re: THE problem with xconq

OK, here we go.

Rather than just try to talk someone else into doing this I have gone
and done it (and updated it to work with CVS xconq, because I don't
think we want to be without all the fixes which have been going on in
CVS).

Now it is the turn of everyone else to help out. Get xconq from CVS,
do a "make xtconq", run the x11/xtconq binary, and play with it and
report the problems. So far I found:

* Various display bugs (relatively minor, the most major being that
all flags showed up as black squares rather than the side flag).

* I did not get it to crash. This was surprising and welcome, given
the number of changes I had to make and all that.

* I did not try a multiplayer game.

P.S. I have a cable modem so I might be open to trying
X11-over-internet with someone who has a similarly fast connection.
Although I'm sure that being on a LAN would be better (some X11 apps
like netscape are really bad over a slow connection; some like xterm
or emacs 18.x are tolerable; I don't know how xtconq is).
