I just committed another set of networking changes - fixed a crash
noted by Hans and David, changed the pregame chat to work line-by-line
like every other chat in the world does, and made the side name popup
choice work for networked games. I also cut down the command-line
options as was discussed a couple days ago.
Networked games still fall out of sync too easily, but I'm hot on
the trail of that one.
Also, a first version of a bug reporting system is in place. It's
the rather plain-looking Gnats, but it's sufficient to do the job
for now. Go to the Xconq home page, and click on the link "Bugs",
then on "Gnatsweb". Those hoping for a "first bug" :-) are too late
though - in between the time when the system went live and when I
started writing this message, someone posted a report about
difficulties building Xconq for cygwin. So now we have a good way
to keep track of our progress on problems!
Info on Gnats is readily available on the net. If somebody has
a site that they especially recommend as a tutorial, let me know
and I'll add a link to it.
