Bug #: 15172
Summary: tolerate unavailable System.map, as on ubuntu
Product: systemtap
Version: unspecified
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: translator
AssignedTo: systemtap@sourceware.org
ReportedBy: fche@redhat.com
Classification: Unclassified
As per https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Security/Features, the /System.map symbol table
file may be permission-restricted on some distros. The translator should make
do (and suffer from kprobe.* probe resolution, for example).
