Summary: stap-serverd should be weaned from -k
Product: systemtap
Version: unspecified
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: server
AssignedTo: systemtap@sourceware.org
ReportedBy: jistone@redhat.com
Except when explicitly requested, the server should not need to use -k in
collecting stap output. Passes 1-3 can just collect stdout/err, and pass 4 can
read the .ko location from stdout.
Omitting -k will allow full use of the systemtap cache, which also means that
the modules will have nicely hashed names.
