I've just checked in a nearly total rewrite of the transport. It is
faster, smaller, and more modular. In recent kernels (with debugfs) all
files now live under debugfs. No more /proc unless debugfs does not
exist.

I have tested various kernels from 2.6.9 to 2.6.20 on x86 and x86_64. If
you encounter any problems after a CVS update, let me know and I will
fix it ASAP.

I have some performance optimizations, flight recorder, etc that I will
be checking in next after some more testing.
