Y'know, I don't like writing software that actually interacts with users, but
by the time I set my mind to it, I get very anal about doing it right. Having
the user provide information that's available loud'n'clearly in the first
handfull of lines of the file doesn't sound like good UI design to me;
certainly not if the only advantage in this scheme is on the programmer's side.
The SGMLtools model is that the user can say "please convert this to
PostScript", and let SGMLtools find out what "this" exactly is.
Period.
