Hi,
Since no one come to help me, I submit my (revised) questions again:
(1) FS_BASE_MSR is used to access to thread local data in Linux 2.4.
Then, are %gs and %fs still used?
(2) If %gs and %fs are free, will they still possibly be changed by
Glibc or the kernel? When the changing take place (like set to zero at
initiation)?
Thanks,
Wei
