I have performed some additional changes, so I duplicated the LC_TIME block: 1. LC_TIME abday: we use two letter week day abbreviations, not three letter ones (like de_DE) 2. LC_TIME d_fmt: the ISO 8601 date format is uncommon here, better use dd.MM.YYYY (like de_DE) Matthias Dieter WallnÃfer schrieb: > Better like this? > > Matthias > > Mike Frysinger schrieb: >> On 13 Mar 2016 22:49, Matthias Dieter WallnÃfer wrote: >>> category "i18n@euro:2000";LC_IDENTIFICATION >>> category "i18n@euro:2000";LC_CTYPE >>> category "i18n@euro:2000";LC_COLLATE >>> category "i18n@euro:2000";LC_TIME >>> category "i18n@euro:2000";LC_NUMERIC >>> category "i18n@euro:2000";LC_MONETARY >>> category "i18n@euro:2000";LC_MESSAGES >>> category "i18n@euro:2000";LC_PAPER >>> category "i18n@euro:2000";LC_NAME >>> category "i18n@euro:2000";LC_ADDRESS >>> category "i18n@euro:2000";LC_TELEPHONE >>> category "i18n@euro:2000";LC_MEASUREMENT >> drop the "@euro" part >> >> that said, this locale is the same as de_IT now. what's the value in >> having this alias when the locale didn't exist in the pre-euro (lira) >> era ? >> -mike
