Nope, but I can send you browsing in the library. Perhaps you find
something interesting in the standard references listed on
<URL:http://www.student.uit.no/~pere/linux/glibc/>. I see that I lack
a good reference to the teory of sorting, so you will have to search
for yourself. Perhaps someone this list have a ref easily available?
A quick search gave me the LC_COLLATE section in
<URL:http://www.opengroup.org/onlinepubs/009695399/basedefs/xbd_chap07.html>.

I'm quite sure the only bug demonstrated here is in your expectations,
and not in GTK+ or GNU coreutils. :)
