- Subject: configuring glibc-2.8 for arm
I am trying to build glibc-2.8 for arm-1176 baseboard. As arm is
maintained separately through glibc-ports package, therefore I downloaded
glibc-ports-2.8 package but I am not able to configure it properly with
glibc.
Below is the configure command I am using. Please let me know if I am
missing something here:
# ../configure --host=arm-linux-eabi --build=i686-pc-linux-gnu
--with-headers=/opt/arm-linux-toolchain/arm-linux-eabi/sys-include
--enable-add-ons=nptl,glibc-ports-2.8 --enable-shared
--prefix=/opt/arm-linux-toolchain --with-tls
checking build system type... i686-pc-linux-gnu
checking host system type... arm-linux-eabi
configure: running configure fragment for add-on nptl
checking add-on glibc-ports-2.8 for preconfigure fragments... am33 arm
hppa m68k mips
*** The GNU C library is currently not available for this platform.
*** So far nobody cared to port it and if there is no volunteer it
*** might never happen. So, if you have interest to see glibc on
*** this platform visit
*** http://www.gnu.org/software/libc/porting.html
*** and join the group of porters
Please point me to any documentation which can help me achieving it.
Thanks in advance.
