For the record I'm going to respond here. I'm CC'ing libc-help which
is our more cuddly list.
If your email didn't get a response, ping, ping again, present pro/con
arguments for the addition of these macros. You need to argue why they
should be included into glibc and not somewhere else like the kernel.
