-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I've added support to use the kernel POSIX timers to nptl. I'll make a new source drop with the code soon. The implementation changes the existing interface a bit. The old interface used timer_t == int. The new has timer_t == void*. The old code limited the number of timers which is now particularly bad if the kernel has independent limits. The new code is also faster due to the missing centralized bookkeeping. Obviously only 64-bit platforms are affected which limits the possible problems significantly. nptl contains appropriate compatibility code to for the 64-bit archs. LT does not have the new interfaces. This is no problem since there it is not possible to mix and match librt and libpthread from nptl and LT. - -- - --------------. ,-. 444 Castro Street Ulrich Drepper \ ,-----------------' \ Mountain View, CA 94041 USA Red Hat `--' drepper at redhat.com `--------------------------- -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.1 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE+gMF72ijCOnn/RHQRAqvmAKCZb4+euHdZi8Idtbibz/zDwup7CgCfem2F qCZUrUlOA/Ib/cAR1EOxk6U= =BFrW -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
