It is not clear to me whether it's safe to stick with binutils 2.9.1 on any
platform. HJ, were all those bugs you fixed purely C++ or were there
problems affecting more people?
I'm using stock binutils 2.9.1 (together with gcc 2.8.1) without
problems for quite a while now.
But I don't use egcs and I do not code a lot of C++.
