OK for MIPS, but please send patches to the correct mailing list. When I
first saw this I decided to look at the MIPS changes when I got to the
copy of the patch in my libc-ports folder - then there wasn't such a copy.
Sending a patch to the wrong list risks it being forgotten about (the same
applies to sending anything to me off-list that looks like it should have
gone to a mailing list - I'll plan to reply to the list copy, which then
turns out not to exist).
