This script doesn't originate in glibc - it looks like automake is the
current upstream for it. We should probably add it to the list in
<http://sourceware.org/glibc/wiki/Regeneration> of files taken verbatim
from upstream, and update our copy from automake. (I don't know whether
that would address your issue or not.)
