Hi Ulrich, et al,
I updated and respun the printf-hooks patch once again and posted an
update to the bugzilla.

This is pretty close to what I think will be the final interface. I'd
appreciate some comments:

There are a few things which could be improved, namely extending the
number of user size flags that are supported for length-modifiers.
Does anyone have an interest in seeing an override for 'flag characters'
supported?
Btw, as written this should work with Altivec/VMX, VSX, DFP, and AVX so
I'd appreciate it if interested parties could comment.
