If by design a particular configuration feature is needed for SH, I think
there should be appropriate code checked into the repository (in a sysdeps
makefile or configure script or similar?) to enable that feature by
default on SH rather than requiring all users to configure in a special
way. The default configuration (with unmodified FSF toolchain sources,
unmodified kernel.org headers from make headers_install, etc.) should be
the correct, working one.
