Thanks. I also noticed that http://www.gnu.org/software/libc/ contains:
"For example, to download the 2.9 release, checkout the CVS libc
module branch glibc-2_8-branch"

Could you replace "glibc-2_8-branch" with "glibc-2_9-branch"?
