- Subject: Two different glibc versions on the same machine
Hello!
Problem: There is a linux system with glibc 2.2.5.
I want to run skype application on this system.
But it requires glibc 2.3.2.
That's why I try to install and run glibc 2.3.2 (for skype) and
glibc 2.2.5 at the same time. Is it possible?
I've tried the following:
1) unpacked glibc 2.3.2 compiled binary from rpm to the dir <dir>
2) set LD_LIBRARY_PATH to <dir>
But when I run the skype application in such environment I see
segmentation fault and nothing else.
Can anybody help me with this problem?
Thank you beforehand & good bye!
