- Subject: the difference between CPU architecture
Hi all
# sorry for not writing the subject on last e-mail.
# I'll resend one with the subject.
I have a question about the difference when choosing
different CPU architecture with march option.
What I wanna know about, is the difference when I choose
"-march=c3-2,-march=i686" and "-march=c3,-march=i486".
Yes, the difference between the C3(Nehemiah core) and the
C3(not Nehemiah core).
And also, is there any problem in using the C3(not Nehemiah)
binary on Nehemiah core machine ?
Thanks in advance !!!
# I was trying to find the difference when I compile the
# kernel, so I asked question to the kernel mailing-list,
# but couldn't get the answer.
# So I thought this might be a libc question.
# Sorry for the multi post, but I'll mail the answer to
# the kernel mailing-list, too.
