I am now using glibc-2.2.92 (plus the usual Debian patches) on my
machine as the default libc. Make check passed in the expected way.
ldconfig seems broken in search_dirs, and leaves me with a 64 byte
/etc/ld.so.cache. I'm using my old ldconfig in the meantime and it
appears to be working fine. I'll post more as I figure it out.
