I commented but it needs re-sending (as amended to correct the points I
noted) for there to be much chance of a comment from someone with the
authority to approve it now.  The mean number of times a patch needs to
get sent to gcc-patches for it to get reviewed is significantly greater
than 1, at least until some sort of patch tracking system is put in place.
Preferably this should be done before GCC 3.0 branches at the weekend,
since this may count as a new feature.
