Just a note to confirm that I am able to build glibc 2.1.96
(well actually this morning glibc cvs which is newer) on linuxppc
using gcc 2.95.3 without problems. The resulting build passes
make check without failures. Also the tst-chmod problems when run
as root are indeed fixed.
