My recommendation is that anyone interested in the IPv6 API
should go to: http://www.opennc.org/platform/xnetipv6.htm
and join the XNET mailing list.

RFC2553 is very BSD-centric in terms of who is working on it.
XNET seems a bit more inclusive, and their documentation is
much better.
