glibc 2.1.3pre4 successes.

I configured glibc 2.1.3pre4 using

configure --prefix=/usr --enable-add-ons=crypt,linuxthreads

and built it using these versions:

- gcc 2.95.2

- GNU Make version 3.78.1

- GNU ld version 2.9.1 (with BFD 2.9.1.0.15)

- gettext (GNU gettext) 0.10.35

- The C Library was still the one, that came with SuSE 6.0; glibc2.0.6
IIRC.

The 'make' and 'make check' went fine, and after installing the new C
Library and doing a reboot I configured and compiled successfully:

* gcc 2.95.2 using

| configure  --prefix=/usr/local/gcc-2.95.2-glibc-2.1.3  --enable-shared
| --enable-haifa  --with-gnu-as  --with-gnu-ld  --enable-threads
| --enable-cpp  --enable-version-specific-runtime-libs

* ncurses 5.0

* tin 1.4.2

* lynx 2.8.3dev.6

* vim 5.5

* fileutils-4.0

* sh-utils-2.0

* binutils-2.9.1

* The latest XFree86 4.0 Snapshot (3917)

* Linux 2.2.14

* and after a rebuild of libIDL-0.6.5 also Mozilla M13.

Everything else I did not recompile runs fine too, including XFree86
3.3.5, Enlightenment 0.16.3, Eterm, The Gimp and other gtk-based
programs.

Thanks for your great work.

Lasse
