Actually I've only taken a cursory look at VSIPL.  I will take a more in-depth
look to see how much of our work it may cover.  My first impression was that it
primarily deals with vectors, matrices, linear algebra, Fourier analysis, and
such.  Ideally, we would like to find a library that handles additional
numerical topics, thus allowing room for future growth without the need for
additional libraries.  My initial assessment of VSIPL may have been off-base,
but we're still in the evaluation phase, so I will look into it further.
