Hi,

GSL is published under the GPL, but the ftp server is temporarily overloaded so it is not allowing connections (username anonymous, no password needed). This is the message I get:

530-Sorry, the ftp server has too many active ftp connections (29/30).

There is a mirror at 
ftp://ftp.freesoftware.com/pub/sourceware/gsl/

To find a mirrored version I used http://ftpsearch.lycos.com/ and searched for gsl. The ftpsearch facility there is useful.
