Re: pdf docs? new tarball?
On my system (debian potato with tetex and makeinfo installed) I can
generate pdf docs just by typing
texi2dvi -p gsl-ref.texi
which is using pdftex instead of tex.
Unfortunately it does not include eps pictures. PDFtex and PDF latex
include pdf files, which can be prepared by epstopdf.
If I figure out how to include .pdf images, I might submit some
patches to gsl-ref.texi to generate pdf from it. An advantage compared
to PDF from ps is that you can have nice clickable table of content,
references and hot URL links.
