I fixed the problem... It turned out to be a problem with the linker (as I
expected). I had binutils 2.9.1.0.19a installed. So I installed version 2.10.1
, and everything worked neatly. The weird thing is that the INSTALL file for
glibc 2.2 says that the suported versions are "GNU `binutils' 2.9.1,
2.9.1.0.16, or later 2.9.1.0.x release", and even 'configure' didn't complain.
Oh well...
And thanks for the people that helped me with ldconfig ! ;-)
