Hi Alex,
despite from the fact that it does indeed come with glibc-2.0.7, I
installed SO51 just a few minutes ago and it seems to accept my
glibc-2.1 library. I hope you didn't remove it already ;-)

PS: Andreas, the LD_DEBUG trick is really cool, but I couldn't find it in
the documentation (info & FAQ).
