[Bug locale/22658] New: exponent to day number

https://sourceware.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=22658

            Bug ID: 22658
           Summary: exponent to day number
           Product: glibc
           Version: unspecified
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: P2
         Component: locale
Assignee: unassigned at sourceware dot org
Reporter: heavytull at hotmail dot com
  Target Milestone: ---

in english the proper way to write the date is to use ranking numbers for days,
like 1^st of January, 2^nd ..., 3^rd ...
In french it applies for the first day of the month only, which is 1^er janvier
for instance. I guess such notations apply in some other languages too. It
seems the strftime man page does not mention any option to get these notations.
