I have confirmed this on ldd (Ubuntu GLIBC 2.24-9ubuntu2) 2.24 and ldd (Ubuntu
EGLIBC 2.19-0ubuntu6.11) 2.19. --unused appears to have been introduced in
glibc 2.3.4.
