Hello,
This is not a bug, but a feature/enhancement
request.
Many databases (e.g. BDB) use mmap() to open
a cache. On *BSD you will find a flag MAP_NOSYNC,
which prevents the cache from being constantly
written to the harddisk.
Maybe this would be also a great idea for the GNU C
library?
