I invoke gdb like this:

[hushan@hushan-t linux-2.6.31.3]$ gdb ./vmlinux

This GDB was configured as "i686-pc-linux-gnu"...
(gdb) set remotebaud 115200
(gdb) target remote /dev/pts/5
(gdb) Remote debugging using /dev/pts/11
0xc0467118 in ?? ()
(gdb) where
#0 ?0xc0467118 in ?? ()
#1 ?0xc077db2d in ?? ()
#2 ?0x00000000 in ?? ()
