GSOC Proposal: libgdb

Hello,

I'd want to participate in this year Summer of Code and i thought a good 
project could be to improve libgdb so it provides a nicer and consistent API 
for all the frontends and IDEs that use gdb.

I've been reading the proposed API for libgdb located at 
http://sourceware.org/gdb/papers/libgdb2/libgdb_toc.html
I'm not aware of how much of it is already implemented, but I think there is a 
lot of work left to do.

I'd like to know whether this project is interesting for gdb and if somebody 
would like to mentor it. Also, I'm not sure which goals are feasible, so I'm 
open to suggestions as to which goals I should aim to.
