How do i print the current value of the stack pointer on an x86 box?
(gdb) p/x $sp
(The "/x" is for printing the stack pointer in hex.)
It's in the manual, btw (see the node "Registers"). If you tried to find that, but couldn't, or somehow find the text there unclear or confusing, please tell the details, so that we could improve the documentation.

Ok, i found it by searching "stack pointer" in info gdb. I'd only found the frame command before.
