dwarf vs dwarf2

Sirs,

Could someone tell me if there is a known problem with gdb53 and inline
macros?  GDB is spitting out completely different pointer values than what
print commands are giving me.  Does this have to do with dwarf2 vs dwarf
produced from gcc3.2.1?  A gdb from 1999 gives me more consistant results
than gdb5.3.  I just need to know where this error is coming up.
