Since this bug report doesn't contain any useful information about the build
failure, I've double-checked GDB 8.1 and HEAD with "gcc version 8.0.1 20180313
(experimental) (GCC)," and GDB built just fine on x86-64 linux (Fedora 26).
Can you paste the build failure here? What host/target? What compiler (gcc -v)?
[AFAIK, GCC 8.0 has not yet been officially released.]
