With GDB even after loading symbolic table , gdb unable to list program lines.

It is able to list only if I specify the source code path , setting via "dir"
command.

GDB version 7.8 and 7.12 tried .

program compiled with arm-linux-gnueabi-gcc -g main.c
arch - armV5.
