The SPARC target in GDB was recently greatly improved. Native support
for SPARC & UltraSPARC GNU/Linux has been completely overhauled. For
sparc-linux GDB builds fine for me, but unfortunately I haven't been
able to test sparc64-linux recently. I'd appreciate it if you could
test the current CVS version of GDB. Note that if you want to debug
32-bit processes, you'll have to compile GDB itself as 64-bit binary.
Configuraing with:
CC="gcc -m64"
should do the trick.
