This would be a help for us at Apple, as well. Right now we have a non-standard meaning for -stack-list-locals 2, and the FSF gdb will have a different meaning for 2 with this patch going in. No complaints or anything, but it's unpleasant. If 1 == all-values and there is a new 'simple-values' (or whatever) added, we can easily add a 'apple-values' which are the particular things our GUI wants without fear of conflicting.
