releases.

To make it easier to look through the patch and put together the
necessary changes, I've gone ahead and created
jimb-ppc64-linux-20030509-branch, based on today's sources, and
committed your patch as-is to there.

Will, whose Linux distribution have you been building and testing in?
What release?
